· who have accepted and made payment already will have their 10% credited to their subsequent semester of study.
· with provisional offers will have the 10% reduction applied on their subsequent conditional or unconditional offer.
Western Sydney University admissions changes to documentation requirements for Session 2 and Quarter 3 (June 2020):
English Evidence – with many English testing centres currently closed we will temporarily extend the time validity for existing approved official IELTS or TOEFL IBT English test scores for 3 years instead of 2 years for English entry of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. We have also made some changes to our accepted tests and recognitions of score validity. For the coming intakes Session 2 and Quarter 3 (June) 2020, Sydney City Campus will be accepting the following English tests for standard English entry of IELTS 6.5 or equivalence (but not for programs that require an IELTS of 7.0 or equivalent):
· IELTS Indicator IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each band
· TOEFL IBT Special Home Edition 82 overall - Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13
· Duolingo 115 score (for programs with IELTS 6.5 or equivalent)
Predicted Scores – Western is now accepting predicted scores for assessment. However, where applicable, final official results will need to be submitted to Western by the deadline as per the conditions outlined on their offer letter. If extensions are required, please contact Sydney City Campus Admissions Team, as this may be considered on a case by case basis.
预测成绩 - 西悉尼大学现在接受预测成绩。但在适用的情况下，最后的官方成绩需要在截止日前根据他们录取通知书中的要求提交。如果需要延期，请联系悉尼校区招生组，这一般视具体情况而定。
Document Verification – With many University administration offices closed Western will be accepting online or screenshot transcripts without final official completion certificate as proof of course completion.
文件核实 - 由于许多大学的行政工作室都关闭了，西悉尼大学现不需要官方的结业证明，可以用网上/截图成绩单证明课程结业了。
Offers will be made based on the above and students will be able to accept and make payment. However, it is critical that all students are able to supply official results or fully attested of the original transcripts and documents one week before each intake.
Western Sydney University offshore/online refund policy for visa refusal
If the student commences their course online and subsequently receive a student visa refusal outcome, they will be eligible to receive a full refund of their tuition fees they have paid. To receive a full refund, the student must submit a refund request within two weeks of the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) visa refusal notification. Students may have the option to continue and complete their studies for the session they are enrolled in and to receive a transcript of the units they have completed in that session. If the student chooses this option, he/she will not be eligible to receive a refund and will not be able to continue in a subsequent session when the University ceases online delivery. If their student visa is refused after they have completed their first session of study, they will be required to discontinue enrolment and withdraw from their course but will still receive a transcript of the units they have completed during that session.
We are excited to announce a 25% bursary for all newly commencing students in Session 2 and Session 3, 2020. The bursary will be applied to the first 8 units of study.
We have communicated to all students who have accepted their offer advising them that the bursary has been applied to their tuition fees.
Please note that this offer is not available in conjunction with any other scholarship or bursary offer from SIBT and will not apply to students who have already accepted their offer at any other Navitas Campus.
The Diploma of Commerce program will be permanently suspended. All students with a current offer have been advised to transfer to the Diploma of Business Administration (DBA). The Diploma of Business Administration provides the same pathway into the bachelor degrees at the Sydney City Campus allowing students to enter into their second year at University.
The Diploma of Arts and Diploma of Communication and Media programs have been temporarily suspended and will now be offered from Session 1, 2021. Students with offers have been contacted to either defer their offer, apply for refund or choose another program.
On completion of the Diploma program, eligible students will still be able to receive the multi-year scholarships worth $7,500 and $5,000. Applications will be assessed automatically.
Packaged offer deposit reduced to $2,000
All new students accepting their packaged offer for a SIBT Diploma combined with a Western Sydney University bachelor degree program will now only need to pay $2,000 deposit instead of $5,000 previously.
