We are delighted to let you know the latest announcement from Professor Juliette Hussey, Vice President for Global Relations that teaching for Trinity’s academic year will commence on 28 September 2020 with Orientation commencing the week of 21 September.
At Trinity, our priorities are health and safety of our community as well as providing the best possible education and university experience. As a result of COVID19 pandemic we are adapting the means of delivery of our education programmes to ensure that they are in line with public health guidelines.
Tuition in Semester 1 will follow a hybrid model which combines online and face to face elements such as offering online lectures for larger class groupings and face-to-face seminars, tutorials and laboratory classes for smaller groups. As much face-to-face teaching and learning as possible will be provided under prevailing health and safety requirements reflecting our belief that personal interaction between both students, and between students and lecturers, is a vital component of a Trinity education. Further information is available at www.tcd.ie/about/coronavirus We would like to reemphasise that the health and safety of our community is our priority and everything we will do is in terms of protecting health and well-being and providing all students with a comprehensive range of supports.
